Bristol Society for Paranormal Research & Investigation

Hi everyone

The Bristol Society for Paranormal Research and Investigation (BSPRI) are a non profit organisation that was founded back in October 2003 by three former members of The Bristol Ghost Club. Many investigative groups at the time seemed to concentrate their efforts solely on the spiritual side whereas BSPRI wanted to create a balance by adding the element of a scientific approach so both sides of the coin could be addressed.

The group quickly built up a vast array of members from the Bristol area who wanted to contribute to the group’s success. BSPRI membership covers a wide range of ages, backgrounds and professions. The members are a mixture of believers and sceptics but all have an open mind and aim to be objective about what they experience at investigations.

The aim of the group is to encourage balanced debate and research of paranormal phenomenon. The society arranges investigations at allegedly haunted locations across the West Country and beyond; at these events members hold vigils and gather data using a wide range of audio and video recording equipment. Reports on investigations are published on the society’s websites and members are encouraged objectively analyse any audio or visual data collected. At BSPRI we pride ourselves on our conduct and professionalism when organizing and carrying out our investigations.
No two investigations are the same and we ensure that we tailor each event to suit the location as well as listening to the needs and requirements of the site owner/s.
We average one investigation every month which allows adequate time between each one so we can correlate the report, add the research, look through footage and listen to the audio recordings.
We hold monthly meetings in central Bristol on the first Sunday evening of each month. At these meetings we review previous investigations, discuss up and coming events and welcome new members.
W are currently looking for new members and in particular a Webmaster to run the main webpage and our public forums. We also have a post for a Parapsychologist.
If you are interested in joining the group or would like to find out more about us, drop me an email at bspri@live.com

Thanks CJ

I will pm Beast Rabban.

I must say, I wasnt really familiar with Elliot O’Donnell (and me being a Bristolian...shame on me! lol).
He seemed to be a fascinating fellow with an interesting approach to ghost hunting but I agree, his teachings shouldnt be entirely discounted as there are elements in his methods that we could all learn from.
